double users at Groups

as i am searching users at groups for my 8bitlegends webpage
for dedications and honor the 8bit heroes i have noticed a lot of double (and even triple) entry at groups with the same handle. i can give you examples for that so we need to delete all the Leftovers , maybe need to execute sql to remove/delete all the double entries

Could be people leaving and rejoining at a later time.

It's a known phenomenon also known as the Rambones syndrome. Happens if people switch forward and back between old and new handles. Causes sth like a fissure in the time-space-continuum leading to these double or triple entries. So in a way sceners traveling through time become their own grandfathers.

i was referring the same handle maybe with a change of a letter could be caused as someone else didn't notice the
present handle and added a new one of himself but actually
it was already in the groups (often with the right handle for the first record) so there are double entries . im available for msg if you want examples for this fault

Why not post examples here in this thread?

Along with the examples you may as well come up with some SQL magic finding these "with a change of a letter" entries? I mean - LIKE %smthg%- is not finding such.

I could only think of these kinds of examples:
The Supply Team
Various sceners with same handles due to entering/leaving/re-entering groups.
But preventing such would mean new database fields/complicating things.

In the case of tst members, while it is accurate, I find excessive to state they left for a couple of days or one month then reentering. If it was for many months or some years I could understand it, but come on *sigh*

f.ex: Zorlak of Genesis Project (i will do a list later
and tell you more members there are definitely much more ) i aware he did leave and enter the group later, but should it require double entries?
i don't think so. if it make it complicated so this is
another issue

@Dr. J - That is the only way to handle someone leaving a group and returning later in the database.
