The Art of Paper - Disk Cover Archive
Howdy hackers,
Presenting to those collector-fiends and fans of art my collection of scanned disk covers, posters, votesheets and anything else on paper worthy of preservation (1700+ covers in a 1GB single 7zip file).
This collection is sourced from my own collection, donations from others and the resources available on the internet. Whilst most covers are in reasonable condition, there are some poor copies or even further - copies of copies... I've tried to capture the covers I had the opportunity to scan at 300DPI greyscale and to save them in a format that has lossless data compression, ideally for greyscale artwork PNG was the most favourable format.
The disk cover is one of the most neglected forms of C64 sceneism in the world of "preservation". Together with some others I will soon be part of a website launch that will host all of the covers in this pack and also more than twice this number again. It will allow other collectors to supply their collections, add comments and vote for best covers.
This package and further, the upcoming website, will make sure the artists and paper isn't forgotten.
If you wish to support the upcoming project with covers or information, please get in contact with PM or email: jazzcat6581@nospam.yahoo.com.au

1700+ covers? goddamn, makes my 200 covers collection seem small indeed :)
Hopefully I'll get my covers scanned, but that will have to wait until I'm done transferring my remaining disks. |

TMB: yeah definitely do the disks first! A lot of my covers were already scanned, so in my case, scanning the remaining covers and grabbing some others on the internet etc was quite easy. Look forward to your disks and covers! |

Request: I once drew a Vision logo, somewhere around '91, which apparently ended up as a diskcover. Probably unsigned, but the logo was somewhat 3d-ish and contained some 'ball(s)' as element(s) as i recall.
If someone has sth which vaguely fits this description, please let me know :) Thanks in advance. |
