Thanks for the link!
This is the first mainstream media report about the demo scene that is actually good and didn't make me cringe. Good to show people what it's about by just throwing a URL at them. :)
Too bad it's in German only. |

I've unpacked C64 when I started the last compo and my daugther Miriam (2 yrs) was quite curious about it so I started to show her demos and she seems to like the combination of 3 channel sound plus effects ;-). (I'm a bit bored about showing her Pixar's Cars and "Fishes" for X-th time ;-) |

"fishes" = finding nemo ;-) wall-e is a bit depressive, quite chaotic and aggressive in some parts. I don't like it that much and it seems Miriam also prefers Cars. (which is actually pretty cool for such a stupid idea (cars with eyes). Of course I take it as a metaphor. I think it would make quite nice movie with real actors too) ;-) I'm sure someone in hollywood will sooner or later make remake ;-). I think it would be great if Jack Nicholson played the Hudson Hornet driver ;-) Lightning McQueen could be played by Shia Laebouf or Justin Long ;-). Etc. Anyway Finding Nemo is total classic. There are some disturbing parts (beginning, sharks and that "light-bulb fish") but the rest is quite more or less safe ;-).
And list is not endless, ufnortunatelly ;-(.

Tao: Nope, but if it's not english I'm not playing it. I play her english stuff just hoping that some of the language rythm, pronounciation and all that stuff will stick to her which will later make it easier for her to learn it quicker. |
