USB memory
How do I copy a bootable usb-stick to another Usb?
So the bootsectors are intact, and I can boot with the other usb aswell?

You can use e.g. this tool:

I think it copies the bootsector aswell. :) |

UltraIso does it very well, if you choose "create floppy-image" and just write it back onto the destinationstick... |

You're all assuming he's using Windoze XP (or beyond).
Considering he's using outdated programs on the C64 already, I wouldn't be surprised he's still using Windows 3.11.
Yay for Trumpet Winsock.
And why-oh-why is this thread becoming longer and longer.
Is my beloved sceneforum turning into some friendly online gee diggely woopsie computercommunity?

Easy!
1. Put HTH pool treatment chemical in the old USB, so it has a prolonged buzz.
2. Take your watch. Bake old USB into a chocolate brownie. Bake it five minutes exactly.
3. Trash old USB.
4. Fill a container with styrofoam
5. Connect the new USB to a vial of bananadine permanganate, and embed this in the container.
6. When the new USB on the wire, heat to exactly 268 degrees and add 6 tons of magnesium wire. It should turn sort of an off-blue and not silver!
7. ...and you're done!
You're welcome. |

Oh man, you should mention this to us right in the first place. Well, in that case the process is a bit different.
You'll need a newspaper, ffertilizer (the chemical kind 8-4-7), cotton and pure spring water.
Make a pouch out of the newspaper and put some fertilizer in it. Then put cotton on top. Soak the cotton with the liquid. Quantities don't matter - this isn't rocket science!
Then put both USBs into an owen. Mix 0.8 grams of tetrahydrozoline nitrate with 5.1 ml of saliva in a glass beaker. Heat to exactly 173 degrees and add 4 tons of hydrogen wire. It should turn mauve and not silver.
Reflux the USBs for 7 seconds in an Erlenmeyer flask.
Combine with 0.71 grams of chewing gum making sure it is not contaminated with toenail clippings. Filter the liquid and evaporate until your bootable USB-stick is copied to the other USB.
And you're done! |
