Mayhem in a church annex
I think Mahoney or his/a friend's father picked me up at the railway station and swiftly proceeded to stuff my TV into the trunk of the car and slamming it shut, thereby crushing the contrast knob on it...

Basically I could just sit next to Mahoney and code and let the general mayhem around me would keep me from getting bored :)

Gluemaster composing. Kaktus going around sampling everything he could with his portable sampler thingy and shouting. Some old guy sitting and watching hardcore porn every f*ing hour of the party... And of course lots of copying sounds ;)

Kaktus leaving his cola in the window overnight, somehow it exploded when he opened it. Inexplicable. Exolon showing filled vectors with corner glitches and some smart ass commenting "hey, I can do that too." (me).

The next morning Mahoney was outside eating a much too healthy breakfast (i.e. not chocolate bars+cola) and said he was going swimming(!) with girls. During the party. No, I don't understand it either. Weirdo! :)

Old porn guy was still watching porn, I'm not sure he slept, he just exchanged the VHS tapes in his machine I think. I'm not sure, but I think he got thrown out.

I coded on some demo for the compo and in the evening, scrolltext writing ensued for Sounds of Gnome. Picture 8-9 sceners hanging over Mahoney giving suggestions for scrolltext contents and you know how it ended up the way it is on the music disk :)

Don't remember if the demo compo was late Saturday, but I think it was early Sunday. I had finished my demo (Tutankhamon mask gfx moving inside an I.C.E. logo with stars around it) but I remember I had to lamerize it by having to run it from Seka for some reason. Exolon also contributed an Amiga demo I think, a black and white scroller with shrinking big, blocky characters. And of course C64 demos! :)

So this was the first copy party I attended, I guess there were about 20-30 of us in some chapel or church annex.

Apart from that I have only general impressions, like the pale, tired faced on everyone on a sunny Saturday morning and someone commenting my inability to eat a whole pizza at meal time. It's still the same, by the way. Just can't do it :)

And the good thing about crushing my contrast knob was that it made me save up for the C1081 monitor that I still use. It was an improvement over RF ;)
