It's not a big deal, and someone may have done it before. I'm moving all sprites by using d010, so you have normal resolution sprites on every second line in the borders. |

the main screen area could be chars, koala or anything. we're using alternating lines there too to keep the whole image consistent |

I found that the best approach to pixeling in this format is to use a fine tip pen to draw alternating lines across your iris. It hurts, but it was well worth it. Good art should hurt. |

I was privileged to see it some time ago and I think it has great potential.
The clever use of sprites scanlines gives possibility to use 160x242 pix multicolor picture - easily - sorts of .
The cost is the scanlines, but as discussed with Knut months ago it could be avoided in the regular bitmap area (as he said its normal koala).
If you look at one works by Joe/Wrath he successfully created few images with such scanlined approach to borders gfx.
With Knut's approach there's only one tricky part. The misalignment os scanlines in the center of the screen.
I love it and I'm definitively going to exploit it. |

Great work! I think I'll make use of those misalignments next time I do something. |
