Event id #1862 : Kindergarden 2011

...you are aware that we're hosting a demo competition specifically for oldschool platforms, right? :)

Feels weird to say this in 2011, but the parties are coming too quickly after eachother to get some work done. Of course there's beers and socialising and that will possibly happen as its only an hour away :).

Possible to send a entry with e-mail? I saw that the last Kindergarden did not have so many entrys, maybe good idea that the people can send something with e-mail? It was also nice to see that Stein Pedersen from Prosonix was 2010 there. :)

EDIT: I saw on your homepage for the Kindergarden 2011 that you allow remote entry, nice. :)

=====================
32k executable music for the Kindergarden 2011

Allowed platforms: PC, Amiga, Atari, C64.
Maximum size: 32 kB (32768 bytes).
Supply us with either an mp3 or ogg file in addition to the actual executable.
Your entry may run on any of the computers we have available as compo hardware (Bring your own Atari, frequent!).
Entries will be played for max 3 minutes and 30 seconds (3:30).
No-go-limit: 2 entries, or else we'll combine this with the high quality music compo.
====================

Means that I have to make out of my C64 tune a .mp3 ? I mean, easy to do, but really? ^^ Could I pimp my C64 tune with filters and stuff, with more bass, EQ filters and so when I have to make a .mp3 out of it?

Yeah you could bass boost/eq the MP3 but you'd be wasting your time. :)

I can understand why Atari+C64 music would need to be submitted as an executable file at parties but.. Why Amiga and PC music? Why not run the Amiga+PC music in the trackers that the music was created with or use an accurate music player? Oh well.. Rules are rules, I guess. :P
