Handle id #4705 : TSI

Does TSI stand for Turbo Software Incorporated?

If so, then TSI created several games in 1983, named Turbo Maze Man, TSI Maze Man and TSI Cycles.

The logo for TSI in the games is very simular to the logo in the cracktros he made in 1985/1986.

Also, is the following made by this TSI: TSI Fastload

I'm not sure about that. TSI (the 1001 Crew member) always wrote his handle with a dot afterwards. I think the cracks assigned to Terra Soft Incorporated are wrongly assigned.

Yesterday I've seen other intros from Terra Soft on some old tapes of mine. I will see if I can upload them later during the day.

Check this : Spelldiver

2828 TSI. SYS2070

Almost the same sysline as the other releases from him.

When checking Paperboy + from 1000 Crew the sysline is:

6668 SYS2066 TSI.

When checking Bomb Jack released by TSI the sysline is:

2828 SYS2066 TSI.

When checking Soldier of Fortune by TSI (with the intro that Zyron claims it is by Terra Soft Incorporated) the sysline is:

2828 SYS2066 TSI.

I'm almost sure now that TSI from 1001 Crew is Terra Soft Incorporated and also Terrasoft

I think we should merge the entries. Should we merge all Terrasoft entries to scener TSI?

Terra Soft Incorporated is definitely the same as Terrasoft anyway.

Even more proof that TSI/1001 is Terrasoft Inc. See this screenshot from release:

Wild Ride

All the guys mentioned (Antisoft, Terrasoft Inc and Syzygy) joined 1001 Crew soon after this release.

Antisoft (ASI) is Steve/1001
Terrasoft is TSI/1001
Syzygy = Syz/1001

See also the interview by Joost Honig and the text under this photo which states all the members.

I think Joost is wrong about Steve/Antisoft joining in 1985, since the Wild Ride release is from 1986 and Antisoft is mentioned as friend and not as member.

Can somebody link Antisoft as old handle for Steve/1001?

Shall we merge all Terrasoft entries to TSI?

Quoting Fred
Shall we merge all Terrasoft entries to TSI?

I think it seems safe to do so. I've merged ASI & Steve.

Thanks for merging Steve & ASI.

I wonder what to do now with TSI.

A few things that we can do:

1. Keep Terra Soft Incorporated as a group and have scener TSI as a member of Terra Soft Inc and for 1001 Crew. We need to add TSI then to Terra Soft Inc.

2. Delete the group Terra Soft Inc and assign all the existing entries to the TSI scener.

3. Use scener TSI only for releases by 1001 crew and use the group TerraSoft Inc (without members) for all his work before he joined 1001 crew and link TSI with Terrasoft Inc in some way so we know it is the same person.

It seems like when TSI wasn't part of 1001, he acted as a group while he was the only member. When he was part of 1001, TSI was his handle and the full name wasn't used anymore.

What do you prefer? Any other suggestions?

To prevent more chaos...

Skylab:
Are the games Turbo Maze Man, TSI Maze Man and TSI Cycles done by the old 1001 crew member TSI?

Honey:
No, these games were not done bij TSI.

and another one I already asked time ago...

Skylab:
Steve of 1001 was known for me, but wasn't sure about Antisoft of ABC. So this was you as well, or?

Steve:
Steve of 1001 was aka Antisoft until I got notice that the A in ABC was antisoft.

Hope that I could help you a bit...

Greetz and a great 2013!

I talked to TSI during X2016 and I can now confirm that TSI was a member of Terra Soft Incorporated which consisted of two persons (TSI and a local swapper). Later TSI took the handle and acted alone. Then he became a member of 1001 Crew. So the info at CSDb is correct as it is.
