Release id #47782 : hires.demo
This must be the first Picture ever on a C64 :-)
I would like to know where the Original comes from, so that i can use it for new Graphicmodes, and stay Commodore-Style.
Any Idea?

loading this up when I got my first floppy drive was just amazing.
The picture was also used in a very cool design in Top Priority/Contex |

yago: there was a discussion about that pic on the german c64-forum a while ago.... that pic seems to have been kinda popular in the 80s for various stuff, eg printer tests. who the girl on the pic actually is would be some nice trivia to know =P |

groepaz: found it in forum64... but its a typical forum64-thread, half the people claim thats samantha fox :-D
however, distilled some info from there that the lady is also included in photonpaint for amiga, and in some star-printer stuff
edit: the lady is not on http://luigi.eliott-ness.com/amiga/photon_paint.adf |

yago: BCS Intro predates it - though it's certainly not as good looking. :-) |

Although I'm gonna write the whole story as we know as now in a forthcoming issue of my horribly coded (since 1996) Plus/4 diskmag, I think it's worth to leave some hints here too, after i contacted the Apple engineer who pioneered the photo digitizing, including that lady's picture.
How it comes to the Commodore side, from here.

Oh and let me place here a little addon too: probably, digitizing jewelry models from magazines was a sort of habit: I bet this Commodore classic too, apparently from De Beers' mag ads, comes from a similar source of Cartier's (?) model "face of a woman"... ;)

I think it might originate from the Apple ][, at least it's in this thread that I found:
