According to Greyrat, the coder of the game, ATA stands for All Tetris Arcades. (source: Gamebase 64) |

A nice story about ATA I want to share with you:
Back in 1992 I made the music for this game and was promised some money for it. Unfortunately, for some reason, I never got paid back then. BUT, I got contacted by Greyrat (the coder of the game) in August 2018.
After 26(!) years, Greyrat now wanted to send me the money and offered 400 euros. We talked about what has happened in our lives since then and I really appreciated his gentleman's gesture to get things "even".
I didn't need the money, but at the time there was someone else who was in need of financial help - Johannes Bjerregaard fighting cancer.
I wanted Greyrat to donate that "ATA music money", for JB's crowdfunding and so he did - he put even 40€ more to it.
The circle was full now and we managed to do something good together. ATA's got a new meaning to me now! |
