Release id #96235 : Exquisite C64 Basic V4.0
Has anyone got this running on Vice 3.1 ?
In the production notes:
" You must attach the image as read only in VICE as the loader will mess with the disk if you don't."
I have done so.
I downloaded the manual, and tried LOAD "0:*",8,1 but just get a black screen.
I opened the monitor and it looks it's stopped / looping around $EE6A, according to the PageTable Rom is "input a byte from the serial bus".
So I enabled IEC device in the Vice Peripheral Drive 8 settings, but doesn't seem to help. |

VICE 3.x defaults to True Drive Emulation, so unless you use an old vice.ini (don't!) TDE should be enabled.
I can simple run x64sc ~/Downloads/Exquisite\ C64\ Basic\ v4.0.zip to get it running. VICE won't write back to archives, so no need to enable read-only/write-protect.
Since you seem to be using WinVice, try this:
x64sc.exe -default "Exquisite C64 Basic v4.0.zip"
This will skip reading vice.ini and use the default settings, which should be fine to run the program. |

Ok, got it up and running.
Now trying to figure out the music / SID commands.
Anybody have a sample program you can post ? |
