Event id #2941 : Lockdown 2020 Fun Compo
As we already have a CSDB Emotional Music compo and there have also been some themed intros, etc. I thought it would be fun to launch a short mixed competition for the coders. The LOCKDOWN 2020 Fun Compo.
Compo rules:
No major strict rules. Basically create a fun short demo, intro or game based on COVID-19. The only major rule is that we don't want anything that would do other people harm, and make upsetting content. We want something to cheer us up during these hard times. So the program should be fun.
NO SEUCK, NO GAMEMAKER stuff. It has to be programmed in BASIC or Assembly!
Entries can be submitted directly on to CSDB, as .D64, .PRG or .TAP format. No size restriction :) I'll also be joining in the fun.
Voting will be based on an online voting form, commencing MAY 2020.

No prizes. It's a bit of fun. Also expect to see something from me during this time. |

The deadline for the Lockdown Compo 2020 has been extended until 10th May 2020. However, there will be no further submission deadlines.
If you have any games, demos intros, gfx for the compo, please feel free to upload it before the deadline.
I'm going to start working on the voting form and I will continue to update it until 10th May 2020. |

I agree with Ghostrider.
Why should people finish something for deadline when it gets extended anyway? Lesson learned. But it's your compo, you can do whatever you want ofcourse. |

it happened with the last DOTY compo as well. deadline extended coz of too few entries.
well, who cares? I was the 1st to enter this compo, so the votes my masterpiece got count double ...and here I declare victory. :) |

Richard, if I place a vote for all other releases than our (No Name's) own, and leave our own empty, will it count as if I gave ourselves a 0? |

If I understand you right... well, I'm not interested in downvoting my own group with a 0, so I guess I have no choice but to either not vote at all, or give my own group's release a vote (which I'm trying to avoid). Hmm.. |
