I've seen the similar mistakes being made in demozoo as well.
I am not saying that people should avoid combining entries, but the burden of proof should be better than "used same handle, came from same country" or such. :)
Being a "scene-detective" with sometimes lacking material from the early days is many times challenging.
Still, eventhough 1+1 is usually 2, things need to be triple-checked before actions.
I've already done one hell of a job with the Finnish early scene, now having a pretty decent register of real names, handles, groups, addresses etc.
