photos of computer setups

I have started collecting photos of "8-bit" computer set ups. I think it is fascinating to see the places where all kinds of computer magic happens/happened. I am mostly interested in home settings - rooms from any time and any place. Demoscene relation is good but not necessary, hi-res photos are preferred (with credits), informative texts and and stories is excellent.

Possibly, this is something that would be published aswell.
With a collection like this it is possible to see what was behind all those screen, to contextualize digital works with a physical place. Postdigital, as the theorists say. We wanna see your data office!

Spread the word! If you are interested, or just have some links and input, please post here or e-mail info@goto80.com. Or bring them to LCP! :) Thanks!

@clonK
the Beast and I will find out where you live, break into your house and steal your gear.
And if you try to stop us we will kill you... seriously.

:))

If that is a genuine KORG msxx and not the Legacy controller then I must say you have quite a collection.

I hear you. How much I love to see other peoples set-ups I must admit you are right.
So I scanned some old photos and as soon as I find a place to put them they will show up here.

Look at this puny setup in the corner.
Not at all the space it deserves, but rest of the room is occupied by gear already. XD

That's a 1541-II.

Yeah, 80% of the setups posted here were really gay. Most disappointing! (Perhaps contrary to what people might expect, Ed's setup specifically is included in the non-gay ones too. I think he should throw away the telephone though. :)

I recently updated my work setup with a more reliable heavy duty power supply:

it powers both the C64 and the 1541-II. Green led is 5V, red led is 12V. It's a switching PSU.

Some photos of my current set ups:

This is up in my flat when the SX-64 is situated in between the pc and my wife's Mac. It is running Soundemons New Confusions.

The SX-64 being portable it can easily be hooked up anywhere in the apartment for some late night Antidote calling, like in front of the baby carriage.

The Data Dungeon in the humid basement where the gear is set up or kept (if it is not part of what I have in Skåne awaiting a proper house). I am looking for a second monitor in order to have two set ups running parallely.

I have photos from the data room of my youth (The Mega Swapper's Corner - and Calling Out Centre), and I will try to dig up those photos when I find the time. I should also have some photos of the Data Kitchen from when I lived in Umeå, and from the set ups in Möllevången (x2).

Speaking of nerds... This is Sledges corner:

Note the lube! Also, Sledge himself looks like this:
