SIDs that aren't in HVSC yet: part III
I thought it was time to finally open the third part, as was discussed in part II already several posts before the recent ones IIRC. :)
For some reason, the bigger part of compo entries of Forever III is missing - I will enter the releases one by one at some point (if anyone feels motivated to help with that task, very welcome! CremD? ;-) , but someone can already check out the release disk e.g. here:
I'm Back . Should certainly yield a couple of additions. :-) |

Has a typo in company name; it's Threshold, not Treshold. Also the game was released in 1997. |

ok fixed in script.
Hyper Cars was set to 1995, fixed now to 1997.
The Arkanix labs intro there has an uncredited and missing tune, will ask Moloch about it. |

Hyper Cars was sold starting in 1995 by Threshold Productions and released as freeware by Arkanix Labs in 1997.
The tune you're looking for iAN was composed by Mr. Bungle and most likely from his unreleased disks. I'll check in the morning and post back with the name of the tune.
Just checked, the tune is named "Escape" by Mr. Bungle. |

You're sure that you sold Hyper Cars to the public already in 1995? 'Cause there are no cracks of that game from that time and as we all know crackers loved nothing more than a first release. |

Yep, we also sold Lazer Duel during the same period and no crack until two or three years later - both games weren't cracked until I supplied the originals myself first to SCS*TRC and then my own group. |

Thanks for the title for Escape.sid, added. Could be that also intro tune to Lazer Duel/AL is by mr bungle aswell? "Voicetracker 2+" is used there too. Dokken and Warnock, for example, never used that specific version.
I think the entry of Hyper Cars/AL should be set to 1997 because it IS the 1997 release, dox and intro has (C) 1995, 1997 in them. The F4CG preview release is the only one actually made in 1995 and already uses those tunes.
Anyway these are the changes applicable:
# Loader tune is credited to Jeff Blume. Fixed typo in "Threshold".
# 1995 is ok as release date as the tunes were already used in the 1995 preview,
# even if this onefile includes also 2 tunes from the 1997 freeware rerelease.
