ARKANOID AIR DOH PETSCII
Check out ARKANOID AIR DOH PETSCII from Arok Party 2023! :)
Double entry for the Commodore 64 and Atari 2600!
Code is the same in the Atari 2600 Emu for the C64!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ssBlBAzIw_g
The Atari 2600 version has more color, but three types of dynamic PETSCII are featured on the C64 version that can have interesting application in party games and scene demos.
Download the prg from the party link up top! |

Arkanoid Air DOH
Is there actually a difference to the previously posted "games" using this "emulator"? |

At least it doesn't seem to play meaningfully better than in earlier versions... |

Why is this garbage on CSDb? |

I think as soon as the garbage is released by someone who uses a handle and not his real name, it qualifies as scene and is worth preserving.
(This particular case was released on a scene party, which is what qualifies it) |

Yes there are three different types of dynamic Petscii in this prod. The idea was to illustrate additional functionality possible with the development kit beyond running an advanced Atari 2600 game.
The petscii manipulations have additional application for Party games and scene demos, see the description below the video for more information. |

Somehow its impressive how you managed to make the C64 version even more ugly than the VCS one >_< |

SingularCrew preferred the Atari version and played it first at the party.
They helped me to improve the C64 version and we included it in the download as a double feature for everyone to enjoy.
Which version do you like best, and what platform did you try them on? |

lol! Thank you, I think.
The colorful gradient fades and vibrant pastel hues really shine on the VCS.
The C64's limited colorset is very challenging for such a powerful machine. |
