Event id #3492 : Revision 2025

Just found the time table including compo deadlines
https://pm.revision-party.net/timetable

Asking for a friend:
Are remote entries wanted or not?
If YES, how to submit? Email?
Register/Partymeister doesn't seem to work without Access key...

Cheers
Ryk

Imagine having to pay the bills, how un-demoscene, right? Everything is easy for those who don't have to do anything.

Yeah right. And I thought orgas needed more entries. But silly me. And the bills get paid from the entrance fees as in every other party.
You need a donation to help you out? Here’s a donation. You want me to pay to play? Go fuck yourself. And they want 35€. Ridiculous.

If there is a more civil word for “useful idiot”, I just don’t know it, so I apologize in advance.

I think it's fair idea for people not coming to the party to pay fraction of ticket if they want to enter the compos. I would gladly pay it and enter a song if I knew sooner.

I once had "the more entries the better attitude," but on such a huge party with a tight schedule, being flooded by entries could spoil the spirit. This is a good compromise.

What happens if you pay and then get pre-selected out?
Do they serve you with a 3 page fineprint agreement? Very demosceney.

If I pay and they preselect me, I will swallow my pride. I know what it takes to organize a small party, and I can imagine what it takes to organize a huge multiplattform event like this, so yeah.. 35 is actually a okay. 95 for regular ticket, 35 for people who want to enter compos and vote. Fair.

Be a man, have goals, make enough money to have enjoyable life and buy the things you desire. Complaining about prices of nonessential services/goods set by free entities/businesses is lame as hell.

Ever heard of a lil ditty called “principle”?

Speaking of lame, making artists pay to compete is the definition of lame.
I wasn’t aware of this in time. If I was, I’d prepare a demo that criticizes this kind of lame behaviour and enter that. I guess I would get someone to lend me the €35, someone who’s “being a man”.

That is certainly NOT a problem for Revision. The compos being overcrowded as fuck is one of the reasons for requiring that ticket in the first place.

I consider complaining about money for things that are not in the category of human rights not a matter of principle but a matter of bad taste. That's my principle.

Nobody asks you to pay for being able to compete. There is a strict rule that you can only enter the compo when you are a party visitor. That's a rule. You try to see something else in this rule and you started a drama about that. But it's not a competition fee, it's an entrance fee. And it's fair.

What a funny argument, you should totally make this demo

They should totally charge for the stream as well for that matter
