This is a secret thread***. It's visible only to selected members of CSDB.
Such as you, my dear fellow scener.
Upcoming instance of Forever is having very special theme.
As 2020 will mark the 100th anniversary of the
first use of the word robot, this word will
also became the official theme of the 20th anniversary
of the Forever party.
In past Forever parties had huge overdose of music
and gfx entries, but this is no longer the standard.
Generally the turnout for entries for C64 is lower
than expected and I'm always sad when there is too
few entries in any party compos.
Don't make me sad.
Make me happy.
ROBOT is such an inspirative theme. You can draw
all kinds of robots, make robotic sounds in your tunes.
Make robot moving around in demos, make 1kb intros
with robots in it. It's really awesome theme.
Everything is easier with this theme, because ROBOT
is usually very functional thing. It doesn't require
to be round or dithered, it can be consisting of squares
and nothing else. Of course it can be also round,
if you dare to go round with robots, of course.
As always (well at least since organizers introduced
it few years ago), the entry that will capture the
spirit of the party’s theme best will receive the main
prize, Eternity Award. It's a huge stone monolith.
You have never had such a heavy prize on any other party
except of Forever. It's worth going for it.

Official announcement from organizers
FOReVER 2020 CANCELED
Guys, we are very sorry to announce that sad news but operator
of Agrosúča hostel (probably on the instruction of the self-
governing Trenčin region) cancelled our reservation party-
place to prevent the spread of the corona-virus COVID-19.
Therefore, we are unable to book another suitable party-place
in that short term, just week before the action. Even if that
were possible, they will probably not allow us to organize
such event for dozens of people. |

FOReVER 2020 DEFINITIVELY CANCELED
By order of the Prime Minister of Slovak Republic and the Ministry of the Interior, starting from 10th March for 14 days it is prohibited to organize and attend sporting, cultural or any public events or happenings to prevent the spread of the corona-virus COVID-19 under threat of penalty 1650 EUR for the organizer. The number of infected people here is growing rapidly, most schools are closed, public traffic or services are limited, people are supposed to stay at home...
THAT'S DEAD END, FOLKS 😢
Organizers cancelled reservation of a new party-place because they don't want to get into trouble with the local authorities. It will be better for us, because no one wants to risk, but especially infecting their loved ones and friends.

Bummer. Unfortunately, there's gonna be a lot more of these cancellings, outside Italy the shit has only launched(!) and will take few days or even weeks more before it seriously hits the fan all over Europe, while Trump still tweets it's all made up by the Democrats anyway as climate change etc. etc.
Doesn't make much sense to debate here whether governments actions are adequate or not, gotta face the situation as it is anyway. There's more important stuff out there than our weirdo scene parties.
Let's all hope and pray for the best. |

All non-residents are not allowed to cross the SK borders as from yesterday, so yeah, even when we wouldn't cancel it, the remaining brave visitors from abroad would have problem to get to partyplace. Hard times. Anyway, let's hope the virus spread curve will flatten, and we will cope with it somehow and return back to normal life in months,or year or so. Stay healthy, everybody! |

Contact mike@zeroteam.s and ellvis@zeroteam.sk and ask them. Asked Wotnau, he doesn't know, but if it's next year, it will very probably be in the middle of the March as usual, becasue the third brother of the ZX orga team is insisting on the traditional date. |

Offtopic/traditional dates: After being forced to cancel real event and escape to online only twice, BCC (<- traditionally last full Feb weekend) orgas seriously consider breaking with tradions. More info soonish.

I don't know who edited the old entry but it's really stupid idea, because now when you want to discuss the event, this post appears.
Moderators, please clean the mess. Make a new entry make the old one cancelled and burried in history. Close this thread, or deatch it from the entry, whatever makes the situaion less confusing and is doable.
