Group id #1482 : Ram Jam

Is this really correct? Aren't there two groups mixed together here?

First one: The Godfather Zibri Trantor SURFiNG Dagon

Second one: Unlock Grid Naphalm Senser

?

your split seems odd to me: both "groups" have in booze we trust contributors.

Oops indeed, makes sense to put SURFiNG into the second one.

The rest seem to be from a completely different "generation" though, seems unlikely it is really the same group.

https://demozoo.org/groups/1073/
they were a single Amiga group according to demozoo.
C64 activities are near to non-existant.
Zibri has no record of ever doing anything for Ramjam, I don't know how he can be asked anything about that group.

I wouldn't give too much weight to the data in demozoo either, its often based on csdb and other questionable sources as well (just like csdb).

I'll mail Unlock :)

Sorry iAN my irony didnt pass on :)

He made himself a record https://github.com/Zibri/C64-Marble-Madness "By Zibri / RamJam".

IMHO "Ram Jam" and "RamJam" are two groups - supporting OP here.

Ok, well. Unlock doesn't really remember. The way i split the two groups makes sense to him though :) (And he doesn't recognize *any* names from Demozoo list - it might be a third group mixed in there)

Looking at that Demozoo member list again, I indeed _do_ recognize names: For example I see Dixan & Rio who later formed Spinning Kids (PC)... Also the list has Naphalm, Senser, Grid and Surfing, matching up with with Groepaz' "Second one". It also lists those from the "First one" group, but there are plenty more members. I remember Ramjam to be a large group, but I never really was in touch with anyone but Surfing, iirc. I could try to ask Dixan about this (we do have contact occasionaly), maybe he remembers something useful.

Of course, very active: 19 Private Messages in... what... 20 years? :)

I was just briefly chatting with Dixan about Ram Jam. According to him, the member list on Demozoo looks plausible except for a few names where he was unsure whether these people have ever been official members. He remembered that RJ had at least 3 section (Italian and Swedish Amiga, International PC) plus random handaround members. ACBS was the leader of the Amiga section until mid 90s, the PC section was "created" by Surfing and he started to join random people into it.

Now that Dixan was talking about ACBS, it turns out I know her pretty well (and just didn't remember) and will talk to her about more bits & pieces from the past.

Also http://www.ramjam.it/ramjam/members.htm
Will sync with Demozoo too, the above list misses a few names of people that were/are confirmed members.

That only raises the question what exactly makes a Scener a C64 Scener though

Just tell what it is. I'll happily apply it to every entry in this db (no exceptions of course) :)

Ok. I'll rephrase it: Don't add members to CSDb that only were active on other platforms than the C64.

And "active" means what in this context? Please be precise.

(And don't get me wrong - i like this definition. But i think it is actually much broader and inclusive than you want it to be)

Of course! Sorry for not being to the point previously, I meant syncing the member lists of Ramjam.it and Demozoo. I believe the C64 "section" of Ramjam was small and is already fully covered on CSDb.
