Anyone who cares for new games will find these on Indie Retro News.
A post on "Luma" was published there recently.

@Paul Bearer: thanks for confirming that crack releases actually help promoting games that would have been otherwise ignored.

Have to agree with the comments below .. WTF.

Playing the "we're promoting the game! Go donate!" card is pretty lame. Put the f***ing link on the forum instead.

Idiots.

Changed my vote just only for the effort in NTSC fixing. But my opinion is still the same. Sometimes there should be respect. Points Race can wait for something else.

To be fair, I probably would have never heard of this game if not for CSDb. And I just bought it.

Sorry to all the morale apostles:
- This is release is not publicly available.
- It adds the value of NTSC compatibility.
- This post does not hold you back from donating even if you already have an unpaid copy in your hands. It even raises the attention to the project as CSDb is a well known page. If you really stand behind the purpose, follow the link and buy it for more than the minimum price instead of whining around here!
- So instead of posting shit here, click the link(s) and add some bucks to the fund: https://shallan64.itch.io/luma - we already did...

As with every other crack: you should of course buy the original and support the developers.

We expect, that any serious C64 player nowadays will always support the developers, especially in this case.

No excuses this time, really pathethic. My opinion, of course.

Ouch, indeed...:

"Extra Life unites thousands of gamers around the world to play games in support of their local Children's Miracle Network Hospital. Since its inception in 2008, Extra Life has raised over $70 million USD for sick and injured kids.

All proceeds from the game will be donated to Extra Life, so why wait? Get your copy now!"

It's a game developed specifically for charity. Why not leave it to be purchased instead of 'cracked' for the sake of a few measly points?

A new low. Some things you simply don't touch if you're sane.

NTSC fixed was flawed at best and should in my opinion be marked as broken, please PAY FOR and download v1.1 with a proper NTSC fix @ https://shallan64.itch.io/luma

The NTSC fix just fixed the lockup on titlescreen which made the V1.0 release completely unplayable on NTSC. There was no harm done to the endsequence IMO. It still works well on PAL. I simply did not NTSC fix the endsequence. People may now enjoy V1.1 with full NTSC support and have fun.

Excess finally noticed that the highly praised 100% NTSC fix by the coder in V1.1 was still buggy in the endsequence and made a 100% fix:
