Submitted by DeeKay [PM] on 24 February 2009WINE is not an option for me (no x86), and even if it was I would not use it, just like I don't use Virtual PC...
A Linux port however sounds great! ;-) If possible, please consider a MacOS X port, too! Usually if you have something running under Windows and Linux already it's quite simple to do...

Submitted by DeeKay [PM] on 24 February 2009 gpz: Sorry, but I don't care how often you say this. As long as it is on-topic (and i would say the program not working on my machine would probably count as on-topic) you can bitch all you want, i won't let myself be locked away in some age-old forum thread where the title alone is so bland and generic that there's even LESS chance that the primary people who SHOULD read it (=the authors of win-only software) actually do!...

Submitted by Medicus [PM] on 24 February 2009My 2 cents to cross-plattform: All C-128 demos should be runable on C-64 too. yeah ;)

Submitted by DeeKay [PM] on 24 February 2009Medicus: I'll just copypaste what i wrote to sander, that used the same logic (only with Atari):

Your comparison of an Atari Demo is completely wrong. This is a tool for c64-users - why should not every c64 user be able to use it? If someone does a demo or tool on c64 that does not run on 1541-IIs for some reason, people do bitch and moan and there'll be a fixed version out within hours, that's the way it goes and it's happened multiple times in the past! So what exactly is the difference here?
