straight from YOUR playlist

if you encounter a piece of sound so great you want to hang yourself for not being able to write something of similar quality...
if you think you've just found the best music ever made...
if you think a certain song/tune/symphony contains some unusually awesome elements...
...and you want to share it with other c64 composers and not necessarily via your facebook wall, just do it here.
explanations, reviews and so on warmly welcome.
one link per day max.
have fun.

I've been returning to this Stinsen tune a lot - released as an entry in Syntax 2020's Oldskool Demo compo. He seems pretty modest about his capabilities as a composer, but he needn't be really, because this is such a wonderful little looper. I'm not a particularly melody-oriented listener (or indeed composer) but these are bittersweet leads to die for. <3

This is beautiful, full of emotion, on loop as I type...

Sure, many people still hate italo dance for some reason, sorry about that. Anyways: I heard this particular track for the first time 4 years ago, whilst happily biking under the glaring sun... I was so intensely thrown back to 1985, and felt forced to buy the vinyl. Roberto Ferrante was 19 years old when he wrote & released this together with Clio.

A little bit 90's feeling, even when the song was released only some years ago :-)

Selfpromo:
How about some crumpled beats on melodic synth pasta and a side of late 90s to early 2010s as electronic music?

https://battlecommand.bandcamp.com/album/wait-a-minute

Usecases: taking a walk or a ride with the bike, maybe light a torch whilst raking the leaves in the yard...

Also, it's free.

Chiseled on it for quite some time.
(segmented+remastered version is under way)
