silly question about adding screenshots
so if u add a crack as a new release to the database,
do you basically add a screenshot of the cracker's intro or a screenshot from the game itself?
is there any rules to this? I know an answer could be to add multiple screenshots but that's not what I'm after 8)
talking about 1 screenshot here. |

If it's a crack, I'd rather add the screenshot of the intro. And you could always make an animated gif too, with one frame from the intro and one from the game. |

Yep, agree with Jailbird... screenshot of the intro is a good, animated .gif the best way for a screenshot.
When adding a crack, a screenshot of the intro is very useful, because other ppl can easily see, if they might have a differnt version for upload or not without downloading and checking it first. |

JB, that's how I do it too. Most importantly for me is the intro screenshot, but I also consider a screenshot of the title or ingame gfx a "nice to have". |

I am not a fan of Intro-shots.
It´s true that some games got released by the same group more than once.
Still, this is not common and the differences can mostly easily be spotted by amount of trainers or cracker.
My way of uploading is simple..
If the original Picture is included,I use it,otherwise a shot from the game.
If the intro is something I think is rare,I make an Intro-shot.. |

I prefer intro screenshots. For game screenshots, check GB64 or Lemon.

An animgif with intro, title pic, and in game shot then? Covers all bases :) And make sure it doesn't cycle as fast as WDRs shots, so you have time to actually watch each pic...

Mager: well, Gifsplitter is a nice free tool which could split them apart! :D

And for GIFanims, UnFREEz is one of the best, smallest tools around:

That is so true!
Probably the reason we ended up here.. ;)

Aahh,the extra work!?! X(
I´ll stick with intro-shots for the moment.
Maybe I´ll reconsider when I´ve reached 2500 uploads. ;) |

Personally it doesn't matter to me. Download it and watch it all day if you want. Pictures are just extras, albeit nice extras of course. |
