Moonstone, the c64 version

Hi Everybody

This topic is to tell you a new game project started: a "Moonstone" c64 version. Moonstone is an Amiga release by Mindscape, a simple RPG mixed with a beat'em up arcade game. I coded a short W.I.P. preview.

Very important thing: a Graphician and a Musician are required, I'm only a coder, and what I did about graphic and music is only a "pre-version" of what it should be. If you'd like to participate to the game please, PLEASE, let me know, 'cause these kind of projects can be achieved only by a TEAM, and not by a single person.

I wait for your replies

Thanks

Pippo79

Check this release by Tinnitus:
As far as the eye can see
Say no more. You won't find better people for such a project.

I think the Tinnitus people would be great for a NEW game. But for a port you don't need creative artists but rather people with good technical skills. The content is already there...

Hmm, maybe a sophisticated wiring/conversion algorithm would do away with the need of background-graphics slaves?

We, the famous people of Tinnitus are hereby informing all citizens that we are, regrettably, unavailable for hire at the time.

<OPTIONAL READING>

Our schedules are booked solid with variety of unrewarding tasks; and when we're not mass-producing smileys for some Romanian web communicator developed by very indecisive people or creating silly flash animations for some utterly irrelevant websites, we're either sleeping it all off or creating another psytrance/blackmetal crossover, or sleeping it off some more.

OR, in fact, developing a new RPG for C64... That means, fist fighting over some ideas which 'can't possibly be implemented...! I mean, how do you imagine it would work...? I can't code that! In fact, I can't code at all! And there's not enough memory!! OK, OK, put that thing down, easy, let's, uh, reorganize our priorities...' - and then the whole thing just makes us ?REDO FROM START.

There's some sketch engine dating from before AST, but we're starting it all from scratch now. I mean, except the storyboard, which has steadily grown and matured over the time, and is now comparable to a very big ulcer.

Um, anyway, expect hearing from us in, like, 5 years? Actually, we haven't talked that much about deadlines... So this might be a bit inaccurate - but our beards will certainly be whiter when it's finished.

Right. That was a huge derail on behalf of The Tinnitus Party, for which we apologize.

Now, I've just heard from Asterion that - although he's swamped with bureaucracy and some mysterious but most undoubtedly evil people are after his vast collection of underage zoophiliac snuff videos - he's willing to do the soundtrack for Moonstone; he only requires that You provide him with a steady supply of beef jerky. If he doesn't get at least three portions a day he gets nervous. And a nervous specimen of Asterion is deadlier than two Wolverines sewn together.

So, drop him a line to arrange the deal. Hint: he likes being complimented on his hairdo.

Well then, that's it from me; all the best & good luck. And take heed of Graham's wisdom - his psychic powers are not to be underestimated.

Personally I think somebody's playing a trick on us. Because there's no way that a person coming from Poland can express himself this good in English .

Some Poles are taught English in schools for a few years now, you know. Some of them have even spent some time outside Poland, unbelievable as it may seem. Apparently Maciej was the lucky one, as opposed to the majority of us - still being unable to communicate with the world, running after polar bears and drinking barrels of vodka. :D

And pulling someone's leg requires a bit more than just writing "I'm pulling your leg"... ;-)
