Best file / disk copier for fail safe operation

Finally, after years and years of procrastination I'm about to start copying my personal stuff from C64 disks to D64 images using the MMC64 with this plugin: D64 Reader Plugin (fast)

The problem is, with old disks that have any errors on them the plugin simply gives up and writes a non-functioning D64 image. To overcome this, I thought I'd first copy the contents of the disks in bad shape to working ones using a C64 file / disk copier. And here comes the question: which programs best handle disks with unintentional errors? Optimally a program that would use a fast loader to read the tracks, but when it runs to a faulty sector it would switch to slow mode, give it several tries and if still failing, would replace it with zeros or something instead of replicating the error to source disk or quitting.

Does something like this exist?

it'd be a much better idea to invest in a rr-net and then use warpcopy. or get a zoomfloppy and use opencbm.

Thanks for the reply. I try not to invest more money than I already have (MMC64 + S-video to VGA converter). I tested the regular reader plugin on MMC64 and although it's crazy slow, it also seems to be very reliable even with bad disks. I only have maybe 50 disks that I need to do, so with a little patience this solution works OK. Thank anyway. :)

i dont remember for sure if this plugin produces a d64 with errorinfo... but iirc it does not - and that creates problems with disks that have errors (the resulting d64 appear as if there were no errors at all, except they contain wrong data)
