The Mibri C64 Demoshow

Hello everyone,

I thought I should start a thread here so I can post details whenever I'm planning to do a Twitch stream of C64 demos played on real hardware. We had a great time during the one I hosted last week!

I will be doing another one tomorrow (Tuesday 14 April) night at 1930 UK time (2030 CEST), playing a few releases from Revision 2020 alongside lots of other great C64 demos, intros, etc.

Find me at https://www.twitch.tv/mibric64/ - cheers!

Thanks for that, Case! I've made a report to Twitch, asking them to sort out their anti-LAMER protection...! ;)

They were:

Pink Floyd Cover
Twist and Shout Cover
A medlody in one of the success demo parts.

I was expecting one for Airwolf at the start, strangley enough on the last stream there were alot of Metallica samples but the copyright claims came in for the depeche mode tunes.

hey Mibri, I missed the last show since I was on the mountains with my family. Pls forgive me. :) I'll watch the recorded video later tonite.
Cool you broadcasted ZooKeeper/A4. There's (literally) some of my blood in that demo!
Like that greetings part with teeth: the idea of the opening mouth came from the DVD menu screen of Ice Age.
I coded it and spent a lot of time with the sprites/greetings. Then since I had the flight to .fi in 2 days, the idea was to fill the screen with some animals using a gfx-converter.
But dmd rightly told me: "what? converted gfx? no, no way!" :)
so I had to think and paint something quickly, or drop that part... I did that slow animation with that fab tune in mind in 2 nights with 0 sleep.
9 bitmaps total, fully pixeled by moi, except that truck in the last screen which is converted/retouched (ehm, sorry dmd!... :) )
great tune(s) by Psylicium, I hope he'll compose something on C64 again one day. I remember all Zoo'15 party animals singing on Pink Floyd notes during the show!! :)

It's a really unique demo for sure! Actually, it was Jammer who suggested I play it; I was already familiar with the demo, but I realised that I hadn't put it on the show's playlist before, so I was happy to put that right. :)
