C64 BBS Snobsoft back after a 40-year break. Making-of video in English.
There is now an English version of the making-of video for the comeback of the C64 BBS Snobsoft:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z4xTcRJpbAo
Among other things, it describes how Groepaz rewrote the BBS from 1985 to Hayes, including enabling Telnet access.

Since the BBS is in German, there is a link under the video to the English translation of the BBS commands. |

Now is the time, if you want to register as a new user in Snobsoft — there is an opening in the 40-year-old user list again. It’s always bursting at the seams. Background — the user list is fully loaded into the memory of the C64 when the BBS program is started. Christian, the former coder and Sysop of Snobsoft BBS, did this to reduce wait times during user login. Back then, at least here, telephone costs were very high.
BTW: I’m also registered in Snobsoft - since 1985. |

Yes, the whole 1980s Snobsoft Scence, including the old users, are naturally all 'Hamburger Jungs' Including former Snobsoft Sysop Christian. However, all the helpers who made the Snobsoft comeback possible are, of course, spread all over Germany. And Christian has been overseeing everything from his new residence in the USA. |
