What does those crack-"postfixes" mean?
I've wondered a little what those crack-postfixes (or whatever it is called - e.g.: "game +6 +M #") means.
There is a standart for em at New Int. Standard , but that doesn't seem to be the most widely used one. I've allways thought that f.e. "+6" = "++++++" = "6 trainers" (but +6 isn't even defined in Danish Gold's old standart)
Could b fun to have a complete list of 'em, so hope someone will share their knowledge. And what is the right word for "crack postfix"?

! = Picture
# = Instructions
% = Intro
& = Music
- = Preview
Dunno when they stopped using the +M / ++ way to mark trainers. But +6 have today the very same meaning you thought. |

Forgot.
H = Highscore saver added
No real standardization on this one, I've found both "+2H" and "+2+H". Also HI, HIGH and HS have been used instead of only H. |

+M was for the in-game trainer like Levelskip etc. but hardly used anymore after 1990... |

Well.. in the Danish Gold standard ++ means 2 or more trainers.
+M were still used by a few guys like me. Often people couldnt agreed if a levelskip meant +M or +1M which means if they got 4 trainers some people ment it was +4M and other +5M.

Uhm, in a way, yeah... The percentage sign was usually to mark game-intro or something like that, so in a way you're right ;-) |

something like 101% was used when the cracker bugfixed the original game so the crack was "more" then a 100% version.
at least that´s what i remember. |
