Customizable right bar

Some time ago now there was a discussion about the right bar where the "Top demos", "Top groups" and Chart is displayed, and some wanted to see som other things there instead, like "Latest releases" etc.

Well, now you can. Enter the Userpage and hit the "Update your settings", and you see a link at the buttom saying "Customize your right bar", where you can chose which modules you want displayed and in which order.
I know the functionallity on the customize page is a bit primitive, but hey - it works. :) (I hope ;) )

Sugestions for more modules are welcome.

PS. The "Users Online" are still not optional and will always be displayed at the top. Any thoughts on that?

Yep!! Nice work - and you even did it without any help or any comments from me, Klaus ;-) Just kidding!

Argh, off to sleep!

The links in the "Latest Releases" and "Latest forumposts" are a little too relative. E.g. if you're currently in the forum then selecting one of the links in the "Latest forumposts" will yield http://noname.c64.org/csdb/forums/forums/?roomid=whatever

Well if it's a customizable bar I think it should be just that.
I think it's great to finally have the latest releases and forum activity right there in my face. I would like to be able to customize the number of entries displayed if that's not too big a hassle to implement?

Hmm.. It would seem that I have to be a bit more careful with the browser-back and refresh buttons ;-)

Oups. Fixed. :)

About number of entries displayed, I'll look into it.
Would it be ok if there was only a limited number of preset values, like 3, 5 & 10 instead of total freedom?

About the Users Online. It's kind of more like a header then actual a part of the right bar. :)
On non-entry pages, like this one, you see the customizable right bar, but on entry pages, like any release, you see a different right bar with links to comments etc., but the Users Online is always on top, like the seach box.
So unless someone (more than 1) REALLY DOSN'T like the Users Online, it'll stay put.

Well, I like the Users Online part ;-)

- Total freedom == chaos, so an adequate selection of freedoms to choose from seems fair :)

I'd like to have the font the same size as "users online" in the customizable part, also seeing who posted last is a useful information so one knows wether a new post was sent or not, it should be included. (like on c64.sk)

The font-size and lack of info on each line is made to save room. If you really think this should be changes please come up with some design-ideas.

Did that. I don't like that topic of the "latest posts" are split over multiple lines. I'd prefer it all to be on one line like anything else on the right sidebar. Thats why I changed the font size. :)
