By the way. If someone asked me this question 5 years ago, I'd say I am washing off chicken shit from gas-bottles. Now that's something you can be really proud of! |

Worked at a fish factory after I finished school (92-93 or so).. The darkest months of my lift. Especially the winter time was WAY depressing. |

Ew. I can't imagine staring at those round fishy eyes whole day, chopping their head off. yuk. I'm glad I've had the privilege to work in a metal-cupboard factory, welding the hinges. |

Don't get me wrong, I'm not an asshole, but actually it's good to know that I wasn't the only one who had a fucked up job around here. God forgive me, my parents are idiots. They forced me to earn money whatever it takes while I live at their place. So I moved out. And that was the happiest day of my life. |

*What kind of job did you do?*
After 4 interesting years in games industry working as an artist i quit (maybe quit isn't quite the correct word). After 12 months of traveling i felt great had fully re charged my flat batteries. I needed that, as the working in the games industry is a killer (long hours, sometimes late nights, weekends, no time off.. i could go on).
*What kind of job do you do?*
These days i am a surveyor. The hours are good, Monday to Friday (no weekends or late nights) and the pay is good (better than the games industry). I'm out and about in the fresh air and for most of the time i feel like i am my own boss. I get to take breaks when i choose, have pub/bar lunches and it keeps me fit :D |

My first job was in McDonald restaurant, I had to prepare hamburgers and other stuff. From this time I don't eat McDonald's food any more. I had to quite because my boss told me that I can't to keep my bycycle into the restaurant's garden :).
It was very good decision in my live, I think :). They paid me 1 Euro per hour (today they pay 2 Euro :) - you can call it 'progress'.
Now I'm something like project manager in one of Polish company, we work for Audi, BMW and other stuff. It's funny but one of the founder of my company is Mr. Huelsbec (do you know this name? :)
Anyway, it's a little bit strange, I spent a lot of time with c64, Amiga and PC but I have never get a job in the game industry. Meybe because my parent told me I have to finish high school and I did it. |
