Bitmap Editor
I've been using the old thrustworthy fli/bitmap-editor from Dolphins a long time now, but I know there's an editor out there that doesn't fuck up the colours when changing the third colour. Also, the possibility to have different background colours for the chars.
Does anyone know the name of this editor (or one similar) and perhaps even knows where I can find it...

Oxidy: Big Multi from Samar can cover two screens, works like a normal bitmap-editor, and you can scroll the screen char-by-char with the cursor-keys.
I'll temporary put it to http://www.suonline.net/~arnoldc/bigmulti.zip
Dane: I anyway planned only to examine the editor, and perhaps to pixel a picture if I like it. And even if you'd include such a feature, I doubt that too much graphicians would have a try anyway, if you'd do it just for me - don't. I'm not worth the pain.
And I know at least two other graphicians that are pixelling with the cursor keys: Posion and Leon (both from Singular). I've had tried it once, but no way hose. Nevertheless, I like to hear the micro-switches sing while I'm pixelling. :) |

Might I interst you in an editor that plays Deek's "Demo Tune 9"? :) |

I've recently started pixelling in an emu using the PC keyboard as my current - hopefuly temporary! - living arrangements mean I don't have space for my C64 to be setup permanently (I just hook it all up when I have something new to watch). I've always been a joystick pixeller in the past, but now I've been converted to the PC keyboard. I'm not sure about using the cursors on the C64, but I guess it might be ok if I were to get used to it.
Dane: Any chance of releasing your XLFLI ed, even if only in beta format? :) I'm not saying I'd use it for certain, but I'd definately like to check it out as I was very impressed with your pic released at Floppy! I've always been cautious of most hires modes as they sometimes seem a little limited, but looking at the colours used on your pic, this looks like the best yet! |

Deev: Anything's possible, although I'm not very keen on doing a ready-for-release version of it right now. I'm glad you like my picture from Floppy, but in all fairness, Xfli gives you more colour opportunities, though it limits the width of your art.
Well, we'll see. |
