Release id #152320 : The Bear Essentials +2DP&Map
In my opinion this release should be tagged First Release / Broken because the published original is fully working PAL+NTSC and this one is not. So this is either based on a different original or it is a cracking bug.
It is just how I would judge it. |

When I asked Jazzcat "Could you please wait a day or two with uploading the file for your crack of The Bear Essentials to CSDb?" he responded "Ok did that initially" which I took to mean that he didn't upload the file at first, and just created the entry without a file. If I have my facts wrong, it's because I believed what Jazzcat said. |

Quote:It's only a drama because of this new situation of a freely available game being ruled as off-limits for a crack by csdb. Is this going to be the new norm then?
last time i checked csdb didnt impose (or even enforce) these weird ideas |

I guess the question is why was someone removing the dl other than myself and Pugsy. I have seen the csdb rules go one way but now they bend another |

So were you lying to me when you said that initially you didn't include the file? |

Thank you, so Pugsy has his facts wrong. |

No he does not. As i added the file again after a short period. Then someone removed it and pugsy as an admin to the entry. |

And... by the time i came back much later. After i agreed to not make the file present. Someone had again removed the file. |

Jazzcat used the same sentance we had when he created the ons entry. When someone uploaded the file, I joined in and "deleted" the file. As this is a database noone "owns" an entry, so I thought I did a good thing, following the previously added notion. Then the circus started.
I see no problem helping the developers spread their stuff a while before the public dl-link of crack releases get out - as long they ask for it. It's not like the file itself disappears - it is just not shown, so the completeness of the database is not threatened. And the releases are always available somewhere else. |
