Release id #219154 : The Hitler Show

While i am totally pro preserving this kind of crap - perhaps we can have a "release only visible if logged in" flag?

(This must be a new low. wow)

DeMOSic I set that flag "Is the link public (Visible to people not logged in)" of Act of Revenge to "NO", too.

Legal Situation in Germany: Our server and Perff are located in Denmark :P

Seriously this is not about panicking who will "end in jail" for uploading or archiving, this is a conflict between
a) preserving the scene including shit that belonged to it
b) the majority of our community being rather tolerant and open-minded and not wanting to even promote/spread such shit to people not even having an account

So I think, for the time being, the mark-dirty flag for screenshots plus the link not public _do_ work.

I also _understand_ if people prefer just to format such disks without archiving and upping, but as pointed out before, IMHO this would be pretending Nazi stuff did not exist in C=64 scene some 30/40 yrs ago. And that would simply be historically wrong.

If you are German, don't download it - if you do, it's your problem. Server is not in Germany, though.

It was not my intention to cause panic. I was merely asking and Groepaz's response (context) was very helpful in that regard. I don't know _all_ the laws, i just read about "Besitzverbot" (ban of posession) coincidally, the other day, and hateful/nazi media can actually result in serious legal trouble. I am not talking about old Handgrenades here, but for a specific example audio releases from the late 90s. And i forgot to add the question if there should be a warning or a restriction to not being able to DL in germany. Hedning answered that. Thanks. And now i shut up, who downloads that kind of disgusting crap anyways.

Gamebase64 had the same issue with "Hitler Diktator"
It's not even in the database.
There is a version of it called Kohl Diktator which is exactly the same game but with all the nazi references removed.

Even the Castle Wolfenstein games are somewhat borderline for containing swastikas, but it's not outright promoting nazism like Hitler Diktator was.

The only part showing a swastika is so hilarious that the release is not likely to turn anyone into a Nazi, rather it should embarrass the Nazis out there so much that they might change their mind.

Just by the way, the rest of the demo (apart from the irritating title) is rather harmless, even contains some 1988 state of the art code.

Having said that, I flagged download, anyway, just to go on Nazis' nerves (i.e. Nazis without account who search for swastikas here), not because I'm really afraid we're in more legal trouble with pixelled Swastikas than with downloads of warez.

which is kinda funny, because it is a hack of "Der Imperator" by itself :)

While it's kinda funny to see links to stuff I never knew of before, I also fully agree with Groepaz here. This also reminds me that I didn't upload a release of a group called something like "NSDAP Softwarehaus" yet to not cause trouble.

FYI there are examples of swastikas around here on CSDb for years that should be fully compatible with German law as it guarantees to depict Nazi symbols e.g. in contexts of art and science. For example there's such a FLI picture by GBF/Crest in "Best of Crest III". (:

But I just wonder why there's no donwload for this (yes, questionable) release: Heil Hitler
