What i hope it'll be, is a book that's interesting and fun to read, and not a boring scientific paper which contains all the small insignificant details. I think a book like that should give the reader an overview of the important things. (only an overview - details would make the book too big (and dull)) |

I would have loved to tell you what the book is about. Unfortunately the Kiasma museum (which was 2 mins. walking from my hotel - talk about coincedence!) didn't have it in stock just yet - probably early next week but by now I'm already back in Holland :( |

no point telling the details, people will disagree anyways.
just wait until tomcat's book is released, and the fight
begins... |

I wonder what's so darn scary about scientific papers. Havn't anyone figured what would happen if the demo-scene turned into something else than what is right now, and what it has been. Yeah sure: Money, fame, all that crap or whatever have you. No game-companies anymore or lonely suckers, fun stuff alone, but something else... I am telling you.
I guess this will only be the real start for something far more advanced, even more polemic, discursive and so forth.. so go on guys, write books about your demos and about the scene in general. Would be nice for a change so see what someone actually thinks about their stuff, their history and so on - some more depth to the scene I would say rather than angry faces and low level talks on Irc after some demoreviews. hahaha! :D |

I hope Tomcat (he probably reads this discussion) will ask few C64 sceners to read the book before publishing to let them review (at least) the C64-scene related parts of the book.

I was one of those who checked for errors.
But it looked good!
If i remember right, MWS also did a check and some others.
Tomcat has been on irc several times to gather and verify information. |
