MMC Replay memory card woes
I guess the MMC Replay is a bit out of style these days, but I'm still using it and it works great, for the most part. I haven't found a memory card that works with it, or rather, I haven't found a memory card that will let me write to it without error. Can anybody point me in the direction of a "certified" memory card for this thing?
EDIT:As it turns out, I've only tested SD cards, not MMC cards. Could that be the source of my problems? |

Stein: you have RR-Net? You do know WarpCopy, rite?
..I know, doesn't solve your problem, but provides a workaround.
I seem to remember hearing this about "holes" in the D64s before... (?) |

Yes Ulf, I have the rr-net and I use warpcopy all the time. :-) However, I'm trying to help a friend who is, shall we say, "technically challenged" (also he's on a Mac).. |

well, just blame it on the Mac then.. he won't know the difference and you will save face ;-)
On a hopefully more useful note: I seem to remember kratznagel getting the sources for the original D64 Reader Plugin for MMC64 from Oliver Archten for him to create a fast loader version. Maybe kratznagel made something useful, but didn't release it?
Have you tried contacting gregg? Maybe he doesn't mind sharing the D64 Reader Plugin (fast) source...?

I always blame it on the Mac, so he doesn't buy that anymore ;-) Thanks for the tip, maybe I'll contact those guys. |
