Pixel Artist Needed - Will pay $20 USD
I'm working on a pirate themed game and would like three pictures for the end sequence. As the topic title states - I will pay $20 USD via PayPal for the lot of 3 pictures. (I will have to approve of the pictures first before I pay.)
I would prefer multi-color mode, but what ever format works for you is good.
You will also get your name in the game's credits too.
Here's what I'm looking for:
1. A picture of an underground Lost City of Gold - something like this:
2. A picture of a pirate ship sailing off into the sunset - something like this:
3. A picture of a couple looking out into the sunset from a pirate ship - very similar to this:
If anyone is interested, then let me know! :-) |

How about showing some of the game? That way people can decide if it's even worth spending their time on, money or no. |

The question is whether you got time to spend on stuff you do not get paid for.
That is also why I suggested him to show off his game as well. If someone really likes it they might work on it for free. But do not assume people will just work on anything for $20, that's my gist.
All the games I worked on for retro systems, C64, Atari 2600 and a really big project for the Wonderswan Color which is still in the works, I did because I really liked those projects, not because the prospect of fame and fortune. You will get neither (outside maybe fame within a niche scene) from making retro homebrew stuff. |

Ah, I missed your post about showing the game. But yeah, I think most of us aren't in it for the money or fame. If I wanted to make money I wouldn't be spending most of my time working on code for a 36 years old home computer. |

Yeah, of course. Still, making games is a lot of work, and unless I really like a project I would not work on it for free. Especially since I also do graphics for games to earn money. So it can kinda become too much of a good thing in a way, for me anyway. |

Doc, give a fuck about these so-called artists... I'll gladly help you out for free.
First the underground cavern (notice the stalagmites from the ceiling, pretty cool eh?)
Then the boat (cool flag on the stern):
AND finally the loving couple (notice the anatomically correct figure on her especially):
Use these freely and let me know if you need help to convert them to Koala or some other format. |

Nice! I like the depth of field on that last pic! Will these really work on final hardware? I fear that FLI and interface may be required - we’re not sure what the memory budget is yet.... |
