d64 sort tool
i'm transfering my diskboxes and i'd like to know what windows based tool is best to use for indexing the files in the d64 + copying seperate files from the d64 image to another.
maybe one of you has experience already testing the different tools.

" i tried that xp patch 2 years ago and failed. I'll give it another try"
Shake,
if you use Star Commander only for d64 sorting and not for transfer, you can use startup parameter:
sc.exe /nolpt
to avoid startup freezings.

Teh problem with WarpCopy is that sometimes you have transfer errors, yes and with the latest version.
When I sent PM lately to Graham, no reply :(
I have tried different drives and stuff, but sometimes the disk ends up damaged, eventhough WarpCopy found no error |

thanks Clarence. Got used to 64copy last few days, gonna compare it now with Starcommander again. 64copy has a fast method with F5 on the file in the d64 to choose a destination filetype to copy to seperate T64/D64.. maybe some more advantages..

Your problems might be related to a bug in the error retry routines I have removed in the new version. |

Ok, did some testing with the new warpcopy and everything seems to be a-okay (apart from some strange error messages about an unknown port when exporting a file from c64 to pc).
Anyway, it should be possible to 'put' the warpcopy program in the rr-flash memory right? What would be the best (easiest) way to do so? I played around with the rr when I got it all those years ago but never really managed to do some 'real' stuff with it ;Z |
