Retro Remakes: request for resources
Hi to all!
I'm looking for resources for cracktros (fonts, tune reference, logos, etc) for remaking Win32 versions of these old C64 wonders.
Any help is appreciated here or at http://www.retro-remakes.net
Best regards,

apropos, i think there was some tool that can save sprites/charset etc from emulator snapshots (dont recall wether it was vice or ccs64). ofcourse i dont recall how the tool was named either, so.. =P |

Hmm the program posted need ccs64 freeze files and can 'only' rip charsets and sprites. Would it not be cool to have a charset, music, sprite, font and what's left ripper? |

find a charset, then look at it, how it looks, with I command, with I* in AR. then load other programs, and look for similar pattern. after 5 demos, you should know what a charset looks like. now you can rip them.
do same with sprites.
all kinds of data, always looks 'the same'. learn how they look! |

ok ... a few remakes later, I dare to ask for help again but from a musician experienced with some SID tracker.
What I'm looking for is very simple.... I need a sound in SID format that sounds like the GAMES\M-R\Radius_1987.sid (in the HSVC archive).
I'm rewrote the TinySID replay for Win32 (initially it was for PSP). TinySID does not play correctly this one and I'm looking for an alternative since a lot of old cracktros use it (or a variation).
My music skills are close to zero.... so if a musician around wants to help, I thank him in advance. |

instead of making a conversion of a SID I suggest you use a different/better player that is able to reproduce a better sound.
The simplest solution for all your troubles is of source use a solution that packs the emulator and c64 file together as a single binary. |
