After 122 posts in the previous thread, it is time to open a new one - please check out this obscure adventure I just stumbled across:

FMX Music Demo
FMSid Demosong
and maybe also some other SFX Sound Expander tunes can't be found in HVSC?
BotB Winter Chip XIII
four SIDs from this event are missing. |

The Sid parts of those FM+SID tunes were in HVSC but 4-Mat explicitly asked them to be removed. From update69.hvs:
DELETE
# as by request by 4-Mat: not worthy as SID files, they require SFX.
/MUSICIANS/0-9/4-Mat/Decline.sid
/MUSICIANS/0-9/4-Mat/Endless_tune_1_2SID.sid
/MUSICIANS/0-9/4-Mat/Endless_tune_2_2SID.sid
/MUSICIANS/0-9/4-Mat/FMX_Demo_tunes_1_and_2_2SID.sid
/MUSICIANS/0-9/4-Mat/FMX_Demo_tunes_3_and_4_2SID.sid
/MUSICIANS/0-9/4-Mat/FMSid.sid
/MUSICIANS/0-9/4-Mat/FMSid_1_3.sid
If you need them, grab the previous update pack and keep them for yourself outside the HVSC directory.
BotB compo tunes require someone with an account there to be able to download them. I already asked Warlord to up also the others but my request went into dev/null apparently. |

Yes the sid format doesn't support FM directly (which is understandable) so they don't belong in there. The tracks that were in there used the source music files to play all channels out of the sid chips, which isn't what how the tunes are supposed to be played. |

Hi Folks,
yesterday I tried to recognize the music from this intro: https://intros.c64.org/intro/enigma-10
direct link to the .prg: https://intros.c64.org/inc_download.php?iid=2503
Tried with the newest HVSC and sidknown.exe but Sidknown could not recognize the music (nor with -b, etc.).
I checked with a debugger as well and if my finding is right, music is 'hidden' in the $A000-$C000 area. When the intro is calling the music routine, sets the bank by switching the value of $01 between $37 and $35.
This music is super nice, really worth to have a look! ;)
Thanks a lot!
Cheers,
