straight from YOUR playlist
if you encounter a piece of sound so great you want to hang yourself for not being able to write something of similar quality...
if you think you've just found the best music ever made...
if you think a certain song/tune/symphony contains some unusually awesome elements...
...and you want to share it with other c64 composers and not necessarily via your facebook wall, just do it here.
explanations, reviews and so on warmly welcome.
one link per day max.
have fun. |

Pink Floyd: Dogs (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0bqZFp7dWbg). Total bliss; music and lyrics both.
Meshuggah: Swarm (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q3cZQ7TUAw0). Pure energy, pulsating, shredding through you.
... and finally some dance music:
Hocico: Forgotten Tears (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pg1gohALYaY). |

At the moment I can't stop listening to Opeth's "Watershed".
And cannot make up my mind which one is better:
Porcelain Heart http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CES-rze2m1s
or The Lotus Eater http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tfj26M4d0NQ
The whole album is fucking epic, but which one of Opeth's is not? |

@Wackee: Opeth doesn't tend to make mistakes, amen to that :)
One of the most inspiring bands for me these days is Alamaailman Vasarat (Hammers of hell) as they combine world music with some bone-chrunching attitude:

Saw them live around 2008 or so, the gig was a blast. Great folks and incredibly tight playing band, plus awesome sense of humour, they were far the best act in my opinion among hundreds of various fame acts in that Sziget festival. I even created a little tribute track to test Vincenzo's TeH FlOppy sound bank recently:

Finally, this one is for metalheads :)
