straight from YOUR playlist

if you encounter a piece of sound so great you want to hang yourself for not being able to write something of similar quality...
if you think you've just found the best music ever made...
if you think a certain song/tune/symphony contains some unusually awesome elements...
...and you want to share it with other c64 composers and not necessarily via your facebook wall, just do it here.
explanations, reviews and so on warmly welcome.
one link per day max.
have fun.

Gentlemen - probably the highest rated international artist lately: Frank Ocean.
After a session with "Monks" (the definite highlight of his debut album) that status seems, quite surprisingly, justified.

by the way: Matt Chamberlain (of Pearl Jam, Fiona Apple and Tori Amos fame) on drums, Charlie Hunter (of Charlie Hunter fame) on bass.

Animal Collective is going to release a new album in September. the leading single makes me assume that there's a chance for us to witness one of the greatest masterpieces ever committed to a DAW station. who else would be able to produce such a perfect mix of freakfolk, idm and progrock? those guys are fucking crazy /o\

the most unbelievable live performance i have seen since The Whitest Boy Alive @ IC Berlin. it has literally everything. and the guy singing leads here is only a BACKING vocalist for this band /o\ fuck me, i quit.
ps. unusual time signatures featured heavily. take it as an additional recommendation.
