Downvoting, for what reasons?

Seems I got two inverse mega fans. They gave me a set of 1 point votes.

I was a bit interested in finding out who that was, since I've never heard of them or seen any posts from either of them on CSDb.

The votes in question are registered to Auslaender and abracadabra, which is perfectly ok, if they think I suck...

At first I just clicked the abracadabra link and some pretty empty profile with a picture of a magician showed (refered to a guy call Mira, too!). I thought, hmm, strange.. Maybe someone who'd like to conceal himself or something... Didn't think much of it to be honest.

I wasn't untill another one showed. Auslaender!. Strange handle, but then again, we're strange people most of us.. I wonder who that is!.. No profile, when doing a profile search.. Though I'd search the forum for posts, and .. bang... All my indifferent discussions with Nata showed, only Nata showing as Auslaender!.. Sigh!.. Why?.. For what use?.. I don't get it.. He can vote me all the way to the bottom of the list for all I care, but I'm really disappointed.. I hope someone else hacked his profile or something, because that would mean that I didn't misjudge Nata in the past.

Tell me, why did you add a new entry instead of just changing your handle on your old one? Just so you could start with a new 'vote' history?

If I were an admin here I would merge those 2 entries right away, as they are obviously just one person.

I already spend too much time to decollate all nata stuff from bamu releases. No merging is required.

Btw. CSDB automatically created two entries.
Anyway, it simply wouldn't be cool to see old releases under the bamu handle.

well, in my opinion we don't need the votes+ranks here on CSDB. Too many people fucking it up. So I will just continue ignoring the ranks in here. I can only use the personal comments on releases.... Much better to stick to the charts in
discmags :-)

@jeff
Good argument. Let's kick away the evil votes+ranks.
This is a database. IMHO it should be clean and neutral.

yes... too much time is wasted on it. To be honest I'd rather do some c64'ing.

<edit: never mind>

As for the voting system: it isn't perfect but it has it's merits too .. like finding out about that one demo that you missed but everybody else seems to think is the bomb.

Quote: Actually, it's quite confusing why Laxity makes such a drama about a few downvotes in his profile. (not to forget the last PM's)

I have removed my downvote already a long time ago. So, how can you be sure that I am the malefactor?

Anyway, I wonder why the others downvoted you...
(Why don't you ask them why they have downvoted you?)

PS: WTF you expect? Only 9/10 votings?
For someone with an average 9.3/10 you really should be lucky, man.
You really take it too serious...

Hadn't seen this!.. A bit surprised to say the least.

What's wrong with you, Nata, Bambu, what ever the hell your name is today?.. Havn't you had enough of this already or do you have this urge to keep on putting this shit out?.. How many times do I have to tell you that I DON'T FUCKING CARE ABOUT YOUR DOWN VOTE!.. I care about your intensions.. or DID care.. I've learned my lesson! I don't want to engage into any argument with you, because all you do is talking shit about other people that think different than you, and it's really tiresom. You know why? Because when you say it often enough, people won't know the truth from your crap. So from now on, every time you write that I'm being dramatic about your elaborate and ever so fair (and I mean this) downvote, I'll have to reply with the same sentance. I DON'T CARE ABOUT YOUR DOWNVOTES! I NEVER DID! Read the first god damn post in this thread which states EXCATLY that!.. If that's drama in your book, you sertainly have no future in entertainment buisness unless you wanna bore people to death!

It's actually a bit funny that it took you such a long time to find this relatively old post and start to dig up everything again. (the same happened in another thread :) ... and everything because I gave you once a low vote.

-- From Laxity: "I care about your intensions.."

At least I was honest enough to tell you why I gave you a low vote. (Even you won't believe me)
But let me say: Other people don't care a single fuck, don't have to justify (hidden votings) and downvote (YOU) for no reason. That's all about the "intensions".

PS:
Err.. I'm not sure who this fucking 'Bambu' is, but as far I'm concerned: My name is 'bamu'. :P

Laxity: just hit the "ignore all posts from this user" button next to nata/bamu's name.. and you'll be safe forever more on this board :)
