Release id #106959 : CheeseCutter 2.3.0

As I finally got the new version of the editor to a point where I consider to be suitable for general use (though it's still beta), I thought it would be a good time to upload it to csdb.

If you get any compilation issues, bugs, or have anything you'd like to ask regarding the player or general use, feel free to post them here.

Cheers,
Abaddon

One bug detected...

When using the mouse to position the cursor on different tables, it failed to position the cursor onto the Chord table from the Instrument table. From other tables it seems to work fine (I think).

Other than that... great work! I still need to learn and get full-use to JCH/Laxity players, but this editor really is a great help!... I think my first attempts won't be great, but we'll see. :) A big improvement from version 0 as well.

Nice one!

Ah yes, I forgot to fix that one. You can of course always activate the chord table with Alt-D.

With some trickery you can activate the chord table with mouse as well; first click on one of the bottom tables (wave, filter, pulse etc) and then click on the chord table. Should work after that.

Anyway, thanks for the compliments Conrad :)

Please please please, make the windows version gui and its font scalable or add scaled full window/full screen mode. Same goes for every application developer out there. On a modern HD screen the app takes about a quarter of the screen and font is insanely small.

What Mixer said. Thats actually one of the reasons i never liked goat and such because it all so rediculously small on high resolutions.

Which is why i prefer using SDI in Vice since you can maximize it to the full screen :D

acutally it's possible to have goatracker full screen, simply change window type parameter in the config file... ;)

How do you use "ct2util.exe"? I tried running it both clicking the icon (I'm on Windows XP) and running from command line, but nothing happens. I presume I need to add parameters, but I couldn't find any help documents on this exe.

EDIT: Command line works fine with other exes (ccutter.exe, etc) ... so it's not my OS.

EDIT-EDIT: Forget it. It does work, just that there's no output on the console.

I have uploaded a new version which fixes this issue.

http://theyamo.kapsi.fi/ccutter/dist/ccutter-2.3.1-win32.zip

The problem is now that the console window is always opened even when there's nothing to display (besides the audio initialization info). I'll think of a cleaner solution sometime soon.

ct2util is now usable anyway.
