Pixeling stuff the Old School way

Evening,

got my 1351 mouse adapter today.
Did not do any pixeling since the old Amiga days, which is 1997 or so in my case. Where has the time gone?!
On the C64, I mostly used OCP Art Studio, I liked the HiRes and mouse support. But I guess that is a bit outdated today. So what do artists use nowadays? Doing this on the real deal and CRT TV, 1351 mouse. The Old Skool.
And oh! I find Amica Paint a bit weird! Perhaps need some time to get into it.

Well,

there are a few "modern" pixel tools nowadays ... ;)

I use these:

pixcen64-0.7.0-43-ge7f9742.zip

Multipaint 2025

Here is a more or less useful list of pixel editors:

On the C64 i used mostly "Pain(t) Magic" 1988-1993 ... even in 2012 when i registered to CSDb. "FLI-Designer 2.0" also ... but without any deeper knowledge to FLI.

I would N E V E R again pixel on the C64 anymore, i guess. ;)

"Pixcen" is the reason why i am still active! :)

Thanks, Shine!

Sad to hear that!
I sure know of Multipaint and stuff.
But it's different on the C64 with a CRT. Let's talk color flow...That's what I want!
I wouldn't need a mouse adapter, if I wanted to paint on a LCD via VICE.

I use the real C64 only for testing my graphics.
(Especially HiRes!)

Last year, when I got back into it, and again at the beginning of this year, I used Ditheridoo from Abyss Connection.
But I'll probably switch to Albert, because you can save your workstages, which many people demand.
Albert also provide some more functions.
[edit]
sorry, didn't saw that you want to use real C64 tools.

Downloaded Face Painter and Funkpaint. Will check them later.
I know ALBERT, but not Ditheridoo. Will have a look.
Thanks, folks!
