Recovers of Amiga modules
Hi all musicians, anyone there knowns which amiga modules there have been converted/re covered/create as a .SID files?
I know that atleast Echoing from Banana/TEK has been made before other than myself, but I figure out that my version was not close enough to the original one, was either a half note or more below/above than the original and I really want to try do it as close as possible on Future Composer V2.0. |

try to browse into the STIL.txt file from HVSC and search for "Amiga MOD module" string. You will find which files were covered from Amiga modules. Simply... |

Thanks Murdock, but I was more thinking of which version is best of the covers of the same tune/music piece, and I have figure out my and other version of "Echoing" is atleast half note or more wrong below/above also TMR (Jason Kelks version of it) from the original one.
But I have changed all my covers so they should play as it's in the original if not then is about finetune dunno to do that on C64 using Future Composer V2.0.
Have also hear Introfronty.sid in several versions but I really like the "Dezcrator_PSID.sid" from King Fisher (Triad)
Must hear the original again to compare these again, cannot remember about the half note or is it really the same.
But the sound takes alot of memory on the C64. |

Well, I once converted an Amiga module to a SID. Nowadays I would make much better version but it was a lot of work anyways.. The module is called "Tones Part II" and it's originally composed by Jack-All. You can find the original tune from http://www.amp.dascene.net/ by searching the handle Jack-All.
And you can find my version of it probably from the HVSC under VARIOUS, M-R, Monk.

Monk, currently you don;t have still your own folder in HVSC. You must have more than 2 tunes released to the public :)
talking about best covers of Amiga modules - everyone has their own tastes so it;s not so easy o tell which one is da best :)

My version of Echoing is taken note-for-note from the original tracker file, the chances are it's out because it was done with EMS 4.x and i seem to remember that using the note table from the Programmer's Reference Guide so it'll be a little out because of that...? |

A recognizable Amiga-MOD conversion is propably Enigma/Phenomena. The best version was done by Iron Cat/TRC, another one by Odie/Sonix Systems. |

Check in HVSC for Red Devil folder. 'For Avantgarde', a very nice conversion of the mod of '3d demo/Anarchy'.

I remember Maktone did some conversion of a Amiga "Future Composer" tune. I think it's in the "Götta" collection. It kinda lacked the flow of the original though, if you ask me. Anyway, perhaps you were interested in plain "mod." files only? |

Graham: Nah, Ironcat's version is okay but misses off a large wodge of the tune! Odie's is far better. =-) |
