Browse for unlocked entries
Is it possible to add the search option 'locked/unlocked' to the browser?
Comes in handy when looking for entries that need screenshots.
Something like below:
(Yes, I was too lazy to fix the rest...) |

You can browse for entries without screenshots, which comes in handy when looking for entries that need screenshots.
I don't really understand the rest... |

Yeah, I know I can browse for entries without screenshots.
But I hate to ask EVERY TIME to get the entry unlocked.
So in addition, I also want to browse for unlocked entries, so I can take care of it right away. |

Mace:
I think that being able to search for unlocked entries could prove a major opportunity for people that want to take the piss out of the database and delete those entries.
So really, enabling that might prove be a major mistake. |

Perff has a good overview who deletes stuff.
Besides that, if you delete a certain amount of entries within a short period you will be banned from the forum automagically.
No need to be worried about that. |

LOL, yeah sure. In the past there was NO rollback after certain persons deleted lots of stuff from the database. And that's only the deletions we noticed because a lot of wellknown stuff was gone, what if somebody deletes not-so-wellknown stuff? It would take a while until somebody notices it... |

Maybe Perff took action based on what happened? It's quite easy to have some kind of logsystem that points you at strange happenings .. |

Daim, you're right.
The "delete too much and you're banned" mechanism works though. |

Gosh, what a paranoia!
If I wanted to do harm like that, I wouldn't need the unlock search... just browse & go.
Also, there could be some kind of approval system, where the admin(s) have to approve of a deletion before it's really gone. |

Ofcourse I did not mean you, but the people that have done so in the past. Or might do so in the future.
And even with some mechanism of being banned after deleting a "certain amount" that certain amount of entries will be gone and hard to trace for the people that uploaded them, if they are some impopular old ones. Maybe an email should be sent to the uploader when a production has been deleted?
I wonder what the certain amount of deletes is and how long people stay banned then.
I really still think it makes it too easy for people with an unkind plan to take it into action. |
