Scrolltextwriting, the art of

Something I've been missing @ csdb is the possibility to vote for scrolltextwriters. Strange, since scrolltexts are a big part of what made our scene so special.

So c'mon Perff, gimme a chance to honor the really great ones, like Goldrush/Crest & Rowdy/Fairlight ;)

I also appreciated a lot the fantastic role of the man who takes me orange juice while I'm composing SIDmusic or coding some easy stuff. I don't remember his name, but it has been sooo kind and useful, I would vote for him too, definitely.

vote for scrolltextwriters?

That would difficult, as it would require many to re view their demos and remember who wrote what.

Off of the top of my head, I can can only think of a few sceners where I can link their names to good scroll texts.
Goldrush stands out as as one of them, and Scroll of Megastyle is another.

It's quite clear from this comment that you know shit about the real scene.

Yeah? Yeah then? Oh f*ck, then I'll take the ball with me because it's mine, and I go back home, oh! And you can play no more for today! And that's all, oh!

Don't start a war TDJ, it's childish and useless, it's also repetitive (wars had begun in the most harmless threads on CSDb). Try keeping on track your good request, and use your best facetious side instead of competing about which knows the real or the very real or the absolutely real real hyper sideral photonic real scene.

PS: a bad mouse clicking has sent you a PM, sorry for that ;)

I'm not starting a war, I'm just pointing something out.

Somebody who compares scrolltextwriting to supplying orange juice to a musician really doesn't get how important that aspect of the scene actually is. And thus the true masters of that game (because good scrolltextwriting is an art) should get their due respect.

Also, another thing: even if you don't agree with my request you don't have to belittle it.

My ironic answer had a tough core of "I guess we shouldn't vote for scrolltextwriters" (hey but I appreciate some of them too, eh!), and you probably will meet several ppl here too that, incredible to say this, might be not with your ideas.
This doesn't mean you have to compete at "realscene©" game with all of them.

Summarizing, we shouldn't vote for them, IMHO.

No prob, you're entitled to your own opinion, on the other hand, if you don't want to vote on it, don't vote, right?

Also, you probably mean 'sarcastic', not 'ironic' ;)
