Join The Commodore Community Consortium @ Google+

Bringing the Commodore Community Collaboratively into the future.

This virtual user-group is for the purpose of documenting and archiving the technical and historical details of the Commodore family of computers. It is also for the open exchange of information and the collaborative solving of problems for the benefit of the global Commodore Community.

For more details, see this post by Christopher Gaul, Group Owner:

Yes, we'd rather do things more conscientiously. In other words: It's about Commodore because (AFAIK) it's populated by only Commodore users, programmers, hackers, et al, new and old, and not by any and every n00b out there on the Inet about god-knows-what.

While the Future moves ever on, with it's share of changes/advancements, the global Commodore-user community (i.e., virtual users-group) carries on.

You can go there and join, or not if you don't wish to. It's just very recently been formed (just over 25 members, currently), and now you know, so tell other Commodore users on the Inet, if you'd like to help spread the word.

a terrible trainwreck of a discussion on lemon (which infact made me leave lemon alltogether, not that it should matter to anyone)

and seeing how this google+ group brings nothing new over the various resources we already have, and is messy already with the little info that has been posted.... oh well. no thanks :)

Gosh, I wouldn't know, whatwith me quitting Lemon 64 years ago. But IIRC, a LOT of their "discussions" are trainwrecks anyway. Who cares about Lemon 64! It's Commodore and its legacy that I care about!

Centralization and consolidation is the idea, a sort of all-in-one, all things Commodore in a communications hub on the Web (albeit not necessarily the only such place).

I'm giving it a go, myself hehehehehe You can too, if you wanna.

Still, G+? C'mon ... I'd be more than surprised if G+ lives to see the end of 2016.

i dont see why, it doesnt offer anything new, and its messy like hell. and even the discussion about that very site on lemon is a trainwreck, mostly because of the hilarious arguments of its creator =)

What a waste of time... :)
You can't drive the C= community from NTSC land anyway. :)
And also not with real names and people's real identities.

Maybe I should read the Chit Chat section of lemon more often, I completely missed this.
