Well, I for one like to know what people are doing in real life, and how that connects to their scene activities.

Me, I'm a software architect, responsible for the 5th largest site in Holland. Also, my love for writing (long) scrolltexts resulted in me being a lyricist for a Dutch singer (shameless plug: http://www.lyrical.demon.nl/owngod/)

The scene made me what I am today, for sure.

I work as a clinical psychologist on a psychiatric hospital for children and adolescens. I once considered making a living from music but for some reason I have always wanted to keep the music primarily a hobby... Been studying math stuff for a year but it wasn't really that interesting... Doing music commercially now and then... I guess most sceners today work with computers... ;)

Studied geology and am now working in a geological engineering office, doing mostly environmental engineering, also a bit groundwater and civil/underground engineering. It's about 75% office work, writing expert reports and consultant recommendations, the rest is field work aquiring data, taking ground/water samples, surveying. My dream job ever since, and it has absolutely nothing to do with my history as C64 user. ;)

am I the only one not working with computers?
I'm a decorator.
I paint, I lay carpets and I hang wallpaper.

Hanging wallpaper is very much like making love to a beautiful woman!
You clean all the relevant services,
spread her out on the table,
colour with paste and stick her up!

You clean your brush,
light ur pipe,
stand back and admire your handywork!

in all honesty,
I love my job!
