Downvoting, for what reasons?
Seems I got two inverse mega fans. They gave me a set of 1 point votes.
I was a bit interested in finding out who that was, since I've never heard of them or seen any posts from either of them on CSDb.
The votes in question are registered to Auslaender and abracadabra, which is perfectly ok, if they think I suck...
At first I just clicked the abracadabra link and some pretty empty profile with a picture of a magician showed (refered to a guy call Mira, too!). I thought, hmm, strange.. Maybe someone who'd like to conceal himself or something... Didn't think much of it to be honest.
I wasn't untill another one showed. Auslaender!. Strange handle, but then again, we're strange people most of us.. I wonder who that is!.. No profile, when doing a profile search.. Though I'd search the forum for posts, and .. bang... All my indifferent discussions with Nata showed, only Nata showing as Auslaender!.. Sigh!.. Why?.. For what use?.. I don't get it.. He can vote me all the way to the bottom of the list for all I care, but I'm really disappointed.. I hope someone else hacked his profile or something, because that would mean that I didn't misjudge Nata in the past. |

lame ppl make sure their votes are invisible and some of em even create fake users to downvote someone they dislike even more. this is part of the csdb voting system and something we all have to live with (I recently dropped out of the top10 cause twg/wdr/crypt/whateverlamegroup downvoted me).
I couldn't care less, so should you ;)
also, if ppl think they must downvote you, they only do it if it serves a purpose, ie if you are in the top10 and they are jealous. usually done by braindead ppl that wouldnt get anyones vote. |

Nata has been changing his handle lately (after he quit the scene) - no hacking.
The full changelog seems to be so far:
:-D
Random
Ausländer
Mira aka Abracadabra is his friend. |

The voting system is imperfect.. ...and it is especially sucking when having trusted user account and checking (out of curiosity) who did it. Finding people you know and never expected of being capable of downvoting is quite disappointing (but at least helps to reconsider the relationships), but finding someone who you absolutely don't know and not having a slightest clue what reasons he had and what he might have against you is a bit puzzling. I think it would be best to have separate charts. Having top half points for "LIKED" charts and the bottom half for "HATED" charts ;-) ... anyone who gives you under average score probably thinks you are not good.. and anyone who gives you over 5 probably thinks you are better than average.. so it might probably work quite well. And btw. I care about what scores I receive and why, and I'm not ashamed of admitting it ;-) |

That's a general problem with voting. If people know the voting result before voting, they don't give the vote they think somebody deserves, but they vote in a way to modify the result to match their personal thinking.
I think the voting system would be better if you didn't see the result before you have voted. That would also make more people vote :) |

Don't be sad Thomas ! (Or even disappointed) - Strange things happen !
I read some of the Posts, and I think you just HAD to "selfdefense" yourself on a certain Point (!!)
That was right and nothing but right.
Maybe only Spacecraft X7 can discover Natas Reasons...
Anyway, I just gave you a 9 (because you stole Hubbards Player) ;) |

For that to work the possibility to change your vote would have to be removed. |

Anonymous downvoting is just an immature way to express your hate without the fear of confronting with the actual scener. That's just a very low kind of cowardness and I think we're all awared about that... But why is this disgusting attitude supported by the admins of CSDb is beyond me, really. |
